Sorry. Your
editor suffered severe injuries to his thigh and hip in a
fall on April 11th and spent the last two weeks
recovering from
surgery at St. Peters Hospital.
Our special thanks to
the Lincoln Volunteers Chris, Emily, Bob & Carole who
responded with the Lincoln ambulance and braved the
Flesher Pass Road to get me to St. Petes. Your
professionalism, kindness and compassion will not be
forgotten. How
fortunate we are to have dedicated volunteers to rescue
us when we are in need of professional medical service. WayToGo Lincoln Volunteers! Thanks too, to Rollie Fisher for help
at the scene and for visiting at St. Petes. And Thanks to
the many FortuneFax readers who sent cards and letters.
They were much appreciated. And special THANKS to a great
orthopedic surgeon,
Dr. David Heetderks, and his fantastic surgical team.
I didn’t know that St. Petes had a Transitional Care
Unit until Monday the 15th when the Physical Therapists,
Occupational Therapists, RN’s, LPN’s,
CNA’s & homemaking teams all pooled their
talents to prepare me for take off. You folks are the
greatest. CONGRATULATIONS
TO THE STAFF AND MANAGEMENT OF A GREAT HOSPITAL.
You
make a fantastic team!
