A leap year!

Try this one on the Grandkids.
Q. Some months have 30 days, some months have 31 days; how many have 28?
A. Every month has at least 28 days.

I'm so old they've cancelled my blood type. Bob Hope

As you get older three things happen.

      Instructions For Life

Thirty days hath September, April, June, and November.
All the rest have thirty-one excepting February alone.
That has twenty-eight days clear, and twenty-nine in each leap year.

         Quote Of The Week
A leap year is a year in which an extra day is added to the calendar in order to synchronize
it with the seasons. Since the tropical year is 365.242190 days long,
a leap year must be added roughly once every four years (four times the fractional day gives ).
In a leap year, the extra day (known as a leap day) is added at the end of February,
giving it 29 instead of the usual 28 days.

Thoughts While Waiting For Leap Day
Live each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit,
and resign yourself to the influences of each.  Thoreau

And in the end it's not the years in your life that count.
It's the life in your years.
Abraham Lincoln

The day after tomorrow is the third day of the rest of your life. George Carlin

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take,
but by the moments that take our breath away.

The world is new each morning --
that is God's gift, and a man should believe he is reborn each day.
Israel Ben Eliezer

Live in the present. Do the things that need to be done. Do all the good you can each day.
The future will unfold.

Classics From The Capital City

Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. Groucho Marx

In times like these,
it is helpful to remember that there have always been times like these.
Paul Harvey

Look to this day for it is life, the very life of life...
For yesterday is already a dream and tomorrow is only a vision.
But today, well lived, makes yesterday
a dream of happiness and every tomorrow a dream of hope.
Sanskrit Proverb

Horae quidem cedunt et dies et menses et anni nec praeteritum tempus umquam revertitur.
The hours pass and the days and the months and the years, and the past time never returns.
Cicero

The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. Abraham Lincoln

How do you keep a programmer in the shower all day?
Give him a bottle of shampoo which says "lather, rinse, repeat."

If you can't pick it up but you can push it over, it's a minicomputer.
But when you can't pick it up or knock it over, it's a mainframe.
